Having recently received praise from City gaffer Mark Wright, Chester City defender has said he’s been struggling to understand why The Blues are in the bottom half of the League Two Table.

The 25-year-old said: ‘People say in life that you get what you deserve but even with the run of results we had, I don’t think they were justified and it certainly wasn’t down to a lack of effort but we were just coming up short.

‘Now we’ve turned it around and I wish I knew what that was down to because we would have done it back in December but we have stopped conceding as many goals and we’re scoring again.

‘With the squad that we’ve got at Chester we should be at the other end of the table and the lads are embarrassed about the position but it’s up to us to pull ourselves away from that and we’re going in the right direction.’
