Peterborough caretaker-manager Steve Bleasdale has today dismissed speculation that he is set to rejoin Mark Wright at the Saunders Honda Stadium following the former Posh boss’ return to management.

Bleasdale, who followed Wright to London Road from Chester City, was put in charge at the club until the end of the season after the former England defender was dismissed for gross misconduct.

Rumours are circulating that Bleasdale will make the journey back to Chester to be reunited with Wright, but he insists he is committed to helping Posh in their push for promotion from Coca Cola League Two.

‘I am putting every effort into Peterborough United, a club that is very special to my heart,’ said Bleasdale. ‘I have happy memories of my time at Chester, but I am starting my managerial career now.’
