Chester City manager Mark Wright has said that he believes the Blues have turned the corner following an unfortunate spate of injuries and suspensions.

Speaking to the local press after Chester City comprehensively defeated Bristol Rovers 2-0 in Saturday’s Coca Cola League Two match, the former Liverpool and England defender said ‘Once we get our players out of the treatment room it becomes a very strong bench. We feel we’ve got a really good squad together and if we keep playing like that we’ll get the results.

‘We know what we’ve got in our locker and it’s a bedding down period for the squad at the moment and maybe at the turn of the year you’ll see what we can really do, but we’re definitely on the right lines and I think the fans know that.’

Chester City return to action at the Saunders Honda Stadium on Friday night when League leaders Walsall make the journey north to face the Blues. Kick off is as usual, 7.45pm.
