Bobby Williamson is not impressed that his Chester boys have lost twice in the space of a week to Bradford. This was after an unbeaten away record prior to the results, and now the FA Cup challenge is gone, which won’t please the directors as it can be potentially lucrative.

He also stated his disappointment at not making the most of Bradford getting a man sent off.

Speaking to the press Bobby added:

‘We’re obviously disappointed, Bradford went down to ten men and we never capitalised, we never moved the ball quickly enough – it was lacklustre and pedestrian at times’

‘We waited for our midfield to get beyond their midfield and try and link up with strikers but it never happened, I tried to bring wing players into the game to stretch it, to stretch the width – but they never did anything, they never penetrated’.

Williamson continued ‘I’m very disappointed and disappointed for the fans who turned up in good numbers and we’ve sent them home disappointed – it has been a bad day for us’.

we were poor, now lets see if we have ‘bouncebackability in abundance’

Bobby is 100% correct with all his comments we were just not at the races. Not sure if Dinning & Grant paired well together though I see them as very similar sort of players who both lack that cutting edge. To have them both in the starting eleven created a lack of creativity. I would have prefered to have seen only one of them paired with Hughsey and started with either Holroyd or Rutherford on the right.

It was a cautious line up midfield wise to be frank, we need to play with 2 proper wingers when possible

  • will it ever happen says:

Bad week for you lads and the next game against a top side wont help matters.
