Chester City recorded another away victory at Lincoln this evening, Lincoln fresh from a new manager did not get any kind of honeymoon period, after the Blues ran out 1-0 winners! The game was delayed by by an hour due to coach troubles for Chester, and it was not a match for the purists, but 3 points is 3 points!

The only goal of the game came from the penalty spot, with Dinning calmly converting. The referee had a bit of a stinker in general terms, but got the two major calls right: Giving the Chester penalty, and disallowing a Lincoln goal. The 1-0 scoreline does not describe the Topsy turvy game, Chester at one point had collected 71% of the overall possession, but spent the last 10 minutes camped on the edge of their area.

There is really little else for me to report as the referee ensured a scrappy midfield battle, very stop start. However we are now joint top, and promotion looks more and more possible each week.
