Chester City manager Keith Curle is faced with a list of absentees as he prepares his side to face Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.

Defender Phil Bolland and midfielder Tom Curtis return from suspension but Curle is without a number of attacking options.

Strikers Marcus Richardson (hamstring), Michael Branch (knee) and Gregg Blundell (thigh) and defender Sean Hessey (knee) are also sidelined.

Curle, who was linked with the assistant manager’s job at Portsmouth this week, will have his former Manchester City team-mate Gary Megson in the visitors dug-out.

He admits his side will be massive underdogs, and said: “On paper, Nottingham Forest have got too much for us, even without our injuries, but that’s the beauty of the cup.

“I get on well with Mego and I’ve got a lot of time for him.”

Nottingham Forest duo Jack Lester and Ian Breckin will miss the game through suspension.

They both serve one-match bans after being sent off in last weekend’s game against Huddersfield.

Nathan Tyson will have to watch the game from the sidelines as he is cup-tied, but Eugene Dadi (hamstring) and Gary Holt (head) could be included.

Scott Dobie (hip), Kris Commons (ankle), David Friio (calf) and Gino Padula (groin) are all missing.
