Chester City manager Mark Wright believes the relegation fight for survival is wide open. A Derek Asamoah treble inspired a 3-1 win over Boston United on Wednesday night helped the Blues move out of the bottom two.

With five points separating the bottom six teams, Wright believes there is plenty to play for in the remaining eight games and City must gain a victory over Macclesfield Town on Saturday afternoon, to keep up the pressure on the chasing pack.

‘To get a good away win not only takes us out of the bottom two, it also drags one or two other sides into the mix,’ Wright said.

‘It boosts our confidence for the matches we’ve got left. To get a win under our belt like this is a great plus all round.’
