Chester City Football Club have today announced another new appointment to their impressive Youth set-up.

The club see this as the final piece of the jigsaw for the back room staff at the Football club.

With Simon Davies promoted to first-team manager in March, Mark Newman now takes on the role of Youth Department Manager and will oversee all issues within the youth department including the successfull Centre of Excellence.

Chester’s impressive youth policy will be boosted by the appointment of Barry Knowles as Youth Coach, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge in not only youth football but as an former player with Wigan Athletic, Southport and Barrow.

Barry has the UEFA A licence and is a coach educator amongst his many qualifications.

Barry will work along side our other UEFA A licenced Youth Coach Geoff Lutley who worked with our youth side last year under Simon Davies.
