Chester City’s Football in the Community scheme just keeps going from strength to strength, according to the club’s official website.

It has reported on the hard work that has been put in over the last three years in forging links with many of the local schools.

Activities that the Community Team deliver include:

? After school clubs
? PPA cover for teachers
? Development centres
? School squad training
? Disability sessions
? Girls sessions
? Mental health sessions
? Match day visit
? Mentoring students with 1st team players
? Soccer schools during schools holidays throughout year

There are two full time members of staff who work within the community.

Danny Jones – Community Officer
Stephen Reddy – Assistant Community Officer

There are also four part time members of staff.

Robbie Mills – Community Coach / Coaches under 16s in the COE
Steve Bryant – Community Coach / Coaches under 14s in the COE
John Heaton – Community Coach / Coaches under 11s in the COE
Paul Cleworth – Community Coach / Coaches under 10s in the COE

The community scheme uses coaches from the centre of excellence so that were are maintaining a link with the youth and COE delivering local talent to Mark Newman and his team of coaches.
