Another former Chester City midfielder has been on the move this week with Tom Curtis putting pen to paper on a new deal to join fellow City old boy Paul Ellender at Alrefton Town.

Curtis has been described by the club as an industrious central midfield player, Curtis, 35, was captain of Nuneaton Borough last season but was quick to move after ailing Borough went into liquidation.

He joined Boro’ from Notts County after a career which began at Derby County and went on to make over 300 appearances for Chesterfield before moving to Portsmouth for £50,000.

Loan spells with Walsall and Tranmere Rovers followed before he moved on to Mansfield Town, Chester City and then Notts County.

Curtis currently coaches the first-team at Loughborough University.
