It has been reported today that a group of dedicated Chester City supporters will spend two days walking to a Blues match.

Chester City are scheduled to play Shrewsbury Town on November 25, but members of Chester City Supporters` Trust will forgo the cars, trains and coaches and walk to Gay Meadow from the Saunders Honda Stadium.

The aim of the event is to raise money for the trust, founded five years ago, which in turn will be used to support the Chester City Centre of Excellence and Football in the Community Schemes along with the trust`s nominated charities – Macmillan Cancer Support and the Countess of Chester Hospital`s Bee-Positive appeal.

Although the walk down the A41 has been organised by the trust, anyone is welcome to join. The only condition is sponsorship raised has to go to the designated causes.

The walk begins at noon on Thursday, November 23, at the Deva.
