Luxembourg International goalkeeper Stéphane Gillet has left Chester City Football Club after accepting a financial settlement.

The 28 year old shot stopper was brought in at short notice in January and he made his City debut was in the third round FA cup tie with Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road. He went on to just 10 appearances for the club.

Stéphane will be returning to Luxembourg to further his career. The departure of Stéphane, who was on the list of six players made available for loan, will free up some of the payroll costs which are preventing more new faces from arriving at the Saunders Honda Stadium.
