Chester manager Mark Wright has revealed there is already plenty of interest in the group of City players made available for loan.

Goalkeeper Stephane Gillet, defender Luke Dimech, midfielders Craig Dove, Tom Curle and Abdou El Kholti and striker Marcus Richardson have all been told they can move on.

Wright said: ‘We’ve got quite a lot of interest but then it’s finding the right people to come in. That’s the most important thing because we’re not going to be signing people for the sake of it. They’re good players and it’s a head start for them to find something before the summer.’

Wright is in positive mood ahead of the clash with rock-bottom Torquay, who are four points and three places below City.

‘It’s important that we don’t lose but the most important thing is to get some confidence back for the strikers,’ he added.

‘It’s a good game, there’s no doubt about it, but I don’t think there’s a massive difference between the top and the bottom in this league. You have to respect everyone but anyone can beat anyone. We’re at home and we’ll be positive but if we don’t lose, we’ve still got the two games in hand on them which could be important.’
