Chester City captain Paul Linwood believes Chester’s game at Morecambe is winnable and hopes it will be the springboard to survival for the Deva Stadium club.

The cash strapped crisis club are just 10 points away from AFC Bournemouth, who started the season with a 17-point deduction and have a game in hand over us.

Linwood told the Evening Leader: ‘The situation at the bottom of the league table is looking awkward as far as we are concerned.

‘We are looking to produce something and produce something quick. Morecambe should be a winnable game this weekend – that is the way we will look at the match.’

Chester have now not won a match in their last attempts.
