Chester City earned another vital point in their bid for football league survival at Sincil Bank on Saturday afternoon.

And the result could have been better for the Blues who took the lead just after the half hour mark in this game.

An injury and suspension ravaged Blues side opened the scoring in the 31st minute when Anthony Barry hit a 30-yard strike past Lincoln keeper Rob Burch after Geoff Horsfield almost gave the Red Imps the lead, only to see his effort cleared off the Chester line.

Lee Frecklington’s 48th-minute header drew the scores level for Lincoln City but Chester had to fight to contain their hosts when Horsfield alomst bagged a last gasp winner.

Fortunately, John Danby was on call to block the former Premiership stars shot.
