The Football League have today announced the signing of a new agreement with Mitre that will see the oldest and most experienced sports brand in the World supplying balls to the 72 Clubs of The Football League until May 2011.

The continuation of this long term relationship – spanning over a quarter of a century – will ensure top quality product and service to professional football clubs the length and breadth of the country and also support for the game at grass-roots level.

Renowned around the World for their expertise in the development and manufacture of professional footballs Mitre will continue to pursue cutting edge design and technology of match balls for the Coca-Cola Championship, League 1, League 2, the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and for the Carling Cup.

Mitre is also working closely with the League on a number of other innovative initiatives for roll out at the start of the 2007/8 season when the new contract begins.
