Brian Little has the unfortunate job of trying to save Wrexscum from relegation this year, but he did try and take in some good football by coming to watch City against MK Dons.
He spoke to journalists after the game saying:
‘I was greeted very pleasantly by their fans. There was a bit of banter and they were quite jovial, and in their own way they were letting me know that they were looking forward to seeing me in a weeks time’.
‘I’ve been involved in football for such a long time, so I’ve experienced different derby games as a player and a manager. and I know this one is a massive game for each club and their fans’.
‘And its going to be a tough one. Chester are having a particularly good season, but on Saturday they came up against arguably the best team in the league’.
‘So I don’t think Saturday’s performance is one I will judge them by because even before the game I was looking at the Milton Keynes line-up thinking, yes They are ready to go up’.
‘I was there to remind myself of Chester’s individuals and nothing I saw changed my mind that it’s going to be a massively difficult game for us’
