Chester City have today announced that their Club Physio Joe Hinnigan has decided to leave Chester City and move to a similar post at League Two Rivals Shrewsbury Town.

The board at Chester City regret Joe’s decision but do not intend to stand in his way and wish him all the best in his new role at the Gay Meadow.

In the interim, Widnes Vikings’ Physio Rebecca Hodgkiss will provide cover at the Saunders Honda Stadium.

On behalf of everybody at Vital Chester City, we wish Joe well in his future career.

In their statement, the Club continued to show their gratitude to Premiership Giants Chelsea, Liverpool and Bolton Wanderers who have provided treatment support to Chester City recently.

Their assistance has ensured that The Blues have been able to expedite the return of a number of the first team squad during the savere injury crisis that has plague the Saunders Honda Stadium club.
