Vital Chester City are sad to report that Brian Biggins, who played in goal for Chester during the late 1950s has died.

Brian, who was born in Ellesmere Port joined Chester City as a 17 year old junior, turning professional in June 1957. He made his League debut in the 2-0 home win against Rochdale towards the end of season 1957-58 and proved to be a lucky mascot when he played again against Accrington Stanley on the final day of the campaign, Chester won that one 5-1!

Brian played 3 more games the following season but then drifted out of league football and into the non league scene, moving to north wales side pwllheli.

We were all saddened to hear that Brian had passed away on the 13th September at the age of 66. Brian`s brother Sam, continues to follow the Blues as a west stand season ticket holder. Our condolences go out to Brian’s family and friends.
