Chester City Football Club have today released a statement expressing their hopes of finalising the deal to bring in right winger Ryan Semple within the next day or so.

Chester City manager Mark Wright is keen to see the right sided wide man brought in to bolster the squad. The former Peterborough United player sat with directors in the East Stand at the Saunders Honda Stadium last weekend and witnessed the Blues 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers.

Speaking after the game, gaffer Mark Wright told the waiting press core: ‘I have always been an admirer of Ryan’s ability and he is the sort of player who will excite our supporters, I tried to sign him at the end of last season but Peterborough were asking for a six-figure sum for him’, said an enthusiastic city boss.

He added: ‘However, now it looks like we have clinched the deal and the formalities should be completed in the next couple of days.’

Ryan will undergo a final medical at the Saunders Honda Stadium before the deal is concluded.
