Keith Curle is taking a look at 19 year old Everton goalkeeper Sean Lake.

Curle says that the 3 match suspension gave Stuart Drummond the opportunity to get over a couple of injury worries. The player serves his last of the 3 bans this weekend (v Shrewsbury). Curle said: ‘He’s been playing with a sore ankle and a sore knee so it’s been a chance to take him out of the firing line and give him some intensive treatment. He’ll be ready for a hard week to try to get his place back.’

Curle has said that a contract extension for Ben Davies isn’t a worry, it is just a case of dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s.

The Chester players have been praised by their manager for their attitude in training. ‘We train how we play and we’ve been working extremely hard and at a high tempo.’ adding ‘Ever since I walked in here the players have wanted to work hard and this has been a good opportunity for us to get through some hard work.’

Leo Bertos says he is unsure about his future. He is currently at City on non contract terms but found himself left out of the squad of 16 at the weekend. The 23 year old Kiwi International has only started twice since his arrival.
