Torquay United gaffer John Cornforth is adamant his side will be focused on picking up a positive result in their relegation six-pointer at Chester and not dwelling on the poor performance against Mansfield.

The Gulls slipped to the bottom of the table following a ragged display in the 2-0 home defeat to the Stags, but Cornforth wants that result and game forgotten.

He said: ‘I wasn’t happy after Saturday but now we’ve got to go and try and win at Chester. It’s no good looking back in football, you’ve got to look forward and enjoy the challenge ahead and the next match is always the priority – especially after a defeat.’
