Dean Bennett could be on the bench for Chester City on Friday night. The Blues should have a little more confidence considering they have collected seven points out of a possible nine in their last three games.

Injury worries continue to worry the Blues though with Paul Linwood and Ashley Westwood definately singled out of the game against the Coca-Cola League Two Leaders, whilst Sean Hessey is rated as doubtful.

City manager Graham Barrow also told us that Phil Bolland is still a couple of games away from a return to the side. ‘He’s over his injury now but his still needs a couple of games in the Reserve side,’ said Barrow.

‘We have to go through the situation where if he does go to ground in the next few tackles and hopefully we can get that through to him in training but he has to go through that little barrier where he falls on his shoulder, then gets up and he’s okay.’

Meanwhile Chester City are still working on closing a deal to sign Lincoln City player Ryan Semple. It’s looking highly unlikely the player will feature in Friday night’s fixture.

It is reported that the Saddlers are expected to be without Trinidad & Tobago pair Hector Sam (ankle) and Clayton Ince (thigh).

James Constable is pushing for a place in the starting line-up, but the clash is too soon for Alex Nicholls (leg).
