Chester City owner Stephen Vaughan has denied claims that struggling Chester City will go into administration this season.
With the club in the midst of a financial crisis, rumours had suggested that Chester may well fall into administration and with it take a 10 point penalty, sending them deep into the relegation mire.
However Chester City owner Stephen Vaughan, denied the reports and told the Chester Chronicle:
‘There`s rumours about administration because we`ve got two clubs chasing us, in Bournemouth and Luton Town, who have come out of admin and have been allowed to bring players in.
‘We`re not getting a lot of support on the terraces, which is having an adverse effect on the budget, but all I can say is I`m fighting to keep this club where it should be, in the Football League. And as for administration, this football club will not go into administration this season.
‘We`ll get to the summer and then take stock.’
