Chester City manager Mark Wright believes the Blues are 15 points away from safety. Speaking in his pre-match press conference before the Blues took on Gillingham, the former England and Liverpool defender said:

‘The most important thing for us is staying in this league and then we can regroup and do it right for next season.

‘There are some players who will be out of contract and things may have change for other players at the club.

‘Everybody has seen teams I’ve had at Chester in the past and we’ll get to that stage again, but we’ve just got to be patient.

‘We’re in a war from now until the end of the season and we’ve got to get at least five wins to secure our safety.

‘We’ve looked at Bournemouth’s fixtures and they’ve got four hard games, including three away from home.’
