Chester City manager Mark Wright has today confirmed that The Blues have parted company with striker Ryan Lowe. The two were rumoured to have had a bust up in midweek.

The 27-year-old former Shrewsbury Town frontman had netted 13 goals for City this season, but has now been released from a contract due to run until the summer of 2007.

Wright told the Daily Post: ‘Obviously there were one or two things going on behind the scenes which I’m not prepared to talk about at this moment, but in time they will come to light.

‘We’re not prepared to have any player bigger than the football club or bigger than the team.

‘We want everyone to be together and everyone to pull together.’
