Next up for Chester City are Wrexham on Wednesday night and Blues boss Mark Wright is setting his sight on more points to ensure Chester’s survival in the Football League.

‘People say every year that it’s 48 points for safety, but I’m not sure this time in our league,’ said Wright, after watching his side beat Oxford United last weekend.

‘We’re on 46 points but it’s so tight at the bottom, I’m not sure even 49 will be enough. We’ve got two home games next and need to pick up more points.’
