Chester City have approached Manchester City and Swansea in a bid to sign Ishmael Miller and Kevin McLeod respectively on loan.

Manager Mark Wright has held talks with City boss Stuart Pearce over the prospect of allowing Miller, yet to make a first-team appearance at Eastlands, to clinch a temporary move to the Deva Stadium and help the League Two strugglers avoid relegation.

Wright is also interested in signing McLeod after the midfielder was recently transfer listed by Swans manager Kenny Jackett.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Chris MacKenzie is expected to report back to Chester on Thursday after a spell at Lilleshall Sports Injury Rehab centre to treat a fractured thumb.
