It has been announced today that Nationwide Conference side Burton Albion have completed the signing of experienced midfielder Paul Carden following his release by Peterborough United last week.

Burton boss Nigel Clough signed Carden signed from Unibond League side Burscough, the club Carden joined immediately after leaving Peterborough United, but then opted to switch to Burton on loan until January.

The former Chester City player made his debut in Saturday’s win at Halifax. The 27-year-old is a previous Conference title winner with Chester City.

    I’m surprised, I’d of thought Card’s would have held out for a club at this level. He could do a job for most teams in our league. Good luck to him though.
